Who Are We?
Our Ethos
Philosophy
We believe that traveling opens one’s mind, shapes personalities and creates or strengthens values. We believe that traveling isn’t just about going somewhere. It's about finding yourself in that journey. That’s what we try to emulate in all our trips. But along this way, traveling also comes with responsibilities, and we’ve built NordX Adventures following a few principles that are at the core of what we do. Safe, sustainable, local and experience are four major key words to our philosophy.
Safety will always be our number one concern and priority. Primarily, it means that all of our trips are designed to keep you safe. In addition, we guarantee that all our guides are well-trained and experienced in guiding in winter polar conditions, but also certified first responder, being able to make the right calls in case of emergency situations.
Exploring the beautiful and wild landscapes of the north is our passion, but it also comes with a responsibility. Our goal as a company and as human beings is to minimize our impact on the environment we explore. As much as it is possible, we try to leave the nature untouched, not only for the next one going there, but also for the nature itself. It is a fragile ecosystem that we need to protect in order to keep on enjoying it. We're constantly putting effort towards that direction, and we expect all participants to bring a similar mindset during our tours.
When traveling to remote territories such as Lapland, it is essential to take into consideration the needs of wildlife as well as those of humans. For us as a company, it means following the regulation, but also the customs. We want to make sure that we participate in the healthiest possible way to the social and economic life of the local population. Whenever possible, our third-party providers such as husky sledding companies, restaurants or reindeer farms are owned and operated by locals. Furthermore, we work in cooperation and accordance with Metsähallitus, the state-owned organism in charge of forestry protection and development in Finland.
At NordX Adventures, we believe that traveling should be an experience that goes beyond getting on a plane and taking nice pictures. By discovering new landscapes, new atmospheres, new cultures, we also discover new things within ourselves. Traveling is a mean to awaken our curiosity, open our minds and shape our personalities. We designed all our trips keeping this idea in mind, and we give our best every week to create an experience that becomes special for everyone.
