NordX Adventures was created with a simple idea: to offer a more authentic way of experiencing Lapland.
In a region where tourism is often fast-paced and standardized, we choose a different approach, one that prioritizes small groups, quiet environments, and real immersion in nature. This means taking you away from crowded routes, moving at a slower pace, and exploring landscapes that still feel untouched. It also means creating experiences that feel personal, human, and deeply connected to the Arctic environment.
We chose Ylläs for what it is — and for what it is not.
Located at the edge of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, this region offers one of the largest and most untouched wilderness areas in Finnish Lapland. A chain of seven fells rises above endless forests, creating a rare combination of wide open landscapes and gentle vertical terrain, ideal for exploring on skis or snowshoes. But beyond the landscapes, Ylläs still reflects a more traditional side of Lapland: quieter, less developed, and deeply connected to nature. This is where our vision comes to life. No crowds. No rush. No artificial experiences. Just space, silence, and landscapes that still feel untouched. This is the Lapland we want to share.
We work closely with local partners and communities, helping support and strengthen the people who live and work in this region.
NordX Adventures is, at its core, a small family-driven project.
My sister and I grew up traveling, discovering different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life from an early age. Over time, it became obvious that this would shape the direction we wanted to take. The Nordic regions quickly stood out. There was something different about these places: the silence, the scale, the feeling of being completely immersed in nature. We started working as guides, first in Iceland on glaciers, then in Finnish Lapland, gaining experience season after season. But we also saw the limits of traditional tourism. Groups that were too large, routes that felt repetitive, experiences that didn’t always reflect the places we were in. So we decided to create something of our own, something more personal. A way of guiding that stays true to how we experience these environments ourselves. Today, NordX Adventures is built around that idea: small groups, meaningful experiences, and a genuine connection to the landscapes we explore.
— Kevin, Founder of NordX Adventures
More than guides, we are a small team of explorers, brought together by a shared passion for the Nordic wilderness. Each of us brings a different story, a different background, and a unique way of experiencing these landscapes. But we all share the same approach: guiding with intention, keeping groups small, and creating moments that feel real.
Passionate about Nordic landscapes and outdoor adventure, Kevin created NordX Adventures to share a more authentic way of exploring the wilderness.
